What made you choose our company:
I am in a 3 year old house. I had already borrowed a neighbor's radon meter and had a baseline ranging from 4-6.5 depending on the weather. When the weather was 28-35 degrees outside, my basement reading was 6-6.5. When the weather warmed up and was 40-50-60 degrees, the reading was 4-5. I asked a friend who is a project manager for a company who specializes in energy-efficient housing if he had a recommendation on a company who would tackle a residential radon project. He recommended NextStep because he had used them in his own house in Manayunk (Phila). So I contacted NextStep for a quote. On 2/28/18 Matt came to my house to check out my setup and determine what they would need to do to get a system in my house. I did not have a sump pump, but I did have a sump pit dug out, just wasn't active. I also didn't have a passive radon system, so nothing for anyone to hook up to. Matt took the time to explain everything to me and answered all of my questions. Later the same day, Heather sent me a proposal. A week later, I booked an appt. On 3/15/18 Matt and his guys came to my house to install the system. Joe and Mike did the install. They were extremely professional, while being very friendly and accommodating. I was very happy with the installation process. On 3/25/18 I borrowed the meter again from my neighbor. Over the course of three days, the temps ranged 30-45. On 3/28/18 I concluded my personal test, my overall reading was 0.43. Outstanding results. I also sent in the provided test agent and will wait to hear the results from the 3rd party. However, I am in no rush to see the official results, I'm confident in the results I've seen with the "airthings radon meter" that I used, which is $199 retail. I could not be happier with the experience with NextStep.
